In an industry often challenged by high energy demands, BNP Associates, Inc. is leading with purpose—transforming how airports operate by reducing energy consumption and improving overall system efficiency in baggage handling and apron operations.

By using advanced simulations, we develop smarter system control strategies that dramatically reduce idle runtime and minimize unnecessary energy use. This allows baggage handling systems to operate only when needed, delivering significant energy savings while maintaining peak performance.

We’re also incorporating the latest in high-efficiency technology across our systems. Our adoption of IE4 and IE5 permanent magnet motors (PMMs) ensures that conveyor start/stop operations are optimized, reducing power consumption without sacrificing reliability or speed.

Beyond individual components, BNP’s holistic approach combines simulation-driven design with cutting-edge technologies to create baggage handling systems and apron layouts that are not only highly functional but also environmentally responsible.

“We’re proud of the work our teams are doing to help shape a cleaner, more efficient future for aviation,” said Damien Breier, CEO. “By leveraging our unique toolset of simulation models, design expertise, and advanced technologies, we’re able to deliver solutions that meet our clients’ operational needs while also reducing their environmental footprint.”

At BNP, we believe that great design goes beyond function—it shapes a better tomorrow. As the aviation industry continues to evolve, we’re excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible, helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals while delivering the exceptional passenger experience that modern travelers expect.
