Demand Forecasting

As part of our simulation process, BNP develops detailed demand forecasts to quantify expected baggage, cargo, and warehouse volumes. We document key data and assumptions in a Simulation Function Design Specification (SimFDS), which includes flight schedules, passenger characteristics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Simulation of System Designs

We apply simulation tools to support the design of baggage, cargo, and logistics systems for projects worldwide. These simulations provide a holistic analysis to assess design options, system performance, identify bottlenecks, process metrics, and energy efficiency to achieve optimal system performance.

Simulation of Processes

Our simulation tools and operational expertise assess and enhance processes. This includes evaluating passenger flows, such as checkpoint screening, arrival baggage reclaim, and baggage handling system. In cargo projects, we simulate ULD build-up and breakdown processes to support layout planning, capacity assessment, and operational decision-making with data-backed insights.

Simulation of Operations

We use operational simulations to access traffic and workflow across airport and logistics environments. This includes modeling baggage and cargo vehicle movements, warehouse order picking and replenishment, and testing failure scenarios to improve resilience and efficiency. These simulations support informed decision-making in design and day-to-day operations.

Operational Modeling Tool

We offer customized operational modeling tools tailored to our clients’ systems to simulate real-world situations and assess the impact of changes in flight schedules and other operational variations. These tools enable teams to make informed decisions that improve the performance and resilience of their systems.
