Das Gepäckabfertigungssystem (Baggage Handling System, BHS) am internationalen Flughafen Seattle-Tacoma hatte sieben separate Kontrollsysteme für aufgegebenes Gepäck (Checked Baggage Inspection Systems, CBIS) in Betrieb, wobei die Redundanz zwischen den Systemen sehr gering war. Der Hafen beauftragte BNP mit der Neugestaltung des Systems, um das rapide Wachstum von 66 Millionen Passagieren pro Jahr zu bewältigen.
