Übersicht

Airport Gurus provided ICT and Security systems design services for the development of Dhoho International Airport in Kediri, Indonesia, a new greenfield airport project. The assignment covered the full design lifecycle, from early planning and concept definition through detailed design, construction documentation, and support to the tender process.

The project established the technological backbone of the airport by defining system architecture, integration principles, and procurement ready documentation. The resulting design provided a scalable and coordinated ICT and Security framework to support implementation and long term airport operations.

Project Details

Dhoho International Airport was developed as a new greenfield airport intended to enhance regional connectivity and accommodate future passenger demand in East Java. The project includes a two thousand five hundred meter runway and a seventeen thousand seven hundred square meter passenger terminal designed to support initial operations while allowing for future expansion. As a greenfield development, the airport required definition of its entire ICT and Security ecosystem from first principles, without legacy systems or infrastructure constraints.

Airport Gurus delivered ICT and Security systems design services across the full project lifecycle, beginning with master plan review and initial system assessment and continuing through concept design, schematic design, detailed design, construction documentation, and tender support. The assignment focused on ensuring alignment between airport processes, physical infrastructure, and technology systems from the earliest planning stages.

The scope included definition and specification of the complete airport technology ecosystem. This covered operational systems such as airport operational databases, flight information display systems, common use passenger processing systems, resource management systems, load control and departure control systems, and public address systems. Communication networks were designed to support resilient airport operations and included wired and wireless networks, voice systems, distributed antenna systems, and related infrastructure. Centralized security systems were defined to support surveillance, access control, and hold baggage screening functions.

Airport Gurus also addressed infrastructure and system integration requirements, including coordination with building management systems and other airport subsystems. Corporate and enterprise systems were incorporated to ensure alignment between operational, commercial, and administrative functions. In parallel, technical requirements were developed for ICT related facilities, including the Airport Operations Control Center, Security Operations Center, communication rooms, and primary and secondary data centers.

Throughout the assignment, close coordination was maintained with architectural, civil, and MEP design teams to ensure that ICT and Security systems were fully integrated into the airport’s physical infrastructure. The design approach balanced cost efficiency, operational functionality, and long term scalability, resulting in construction ready documentation and structured tender materials to support procurement and supplier evaluation.

The engagement provided a coherent and scalable ICT and Security architecture for the new airport and established a solid technological foundation to support implementation, commissioning, and long term airport operations.
