Übersicht

Airport Gurus provided independent technical advisory services to support the implementation of an Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A‑CDM) system at Mexico City International Airport (AICM). The engagement focused on guiding the planning and validation of the CDM framework within one of the world’s most complex and operationally dense airport environments.

Working as an independent advisor, Airport Gurus supported alignment between operational needs, stakeholder expectations, and proposed system architecture, helping establish a foundation for effective collaboration and informed decision‑making across airport operations.

Project Details

Mexico City International Airport initiated the deployment of an Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A‑CDM) system to improve operational predictability, enhance turnaround performance, and strengthen coordination among airport stakeholders. Given the airport’s high traffic volumes and constrained operating environment, successful implementation required careful validation of system concepts and close alignment with existing operational practices.

Airport Gurus supported the program by providing independent technical assistance across the planning, validation, and early deployment phases. Services included assessment of existing flight and ground operation processes, definition of a structured A‑CDM development roadmap, and establishment of a performance measurement framework aligned with airport operational objectives.

The team supported identification and coordination of key stakeholders, helping clarify roles and responsibilities within the CDM framework. Airport Gurus also provided technical advisory support during interactions with the system provider, participating in requirements discussions and design reviews to validate proposed system architecture and interface concepts.

Throughout the engagement, Airport Gurus facilitated stakeholder workshops to review proposed solutions, assess operational impacts, and support informed decision‑making. The role remained strictly advisory, with Airport Gurus acting as an independent technical expert rather than assuming responsibility for system development or final design ownership.

The engagement helped reduce implementation risk, improve confidence in proposed system concepts, and strengthen alignment between A‑CDM design solutions and the operational realities of Mexico City International Airport.
